Shot for the inside cover and a multi-page spread with Sunday Girl, a female-led magazine up here in the North, this one was proper fun from start to finish. Creative direction and photography by Meg Jepson, and the brief was gorgeous chaos.

The idea was to tap into that feeling of heeding your inner child, the kind of styling that looks like it's fallen straight out of a film you watched on repeat as a kid. Sea soaked gowns next to wellies, delicate lace stood up against muddy tracks, girls looking like they've wandered off from a story and have absolutely no plans to be found.

Two of the standout pieces were designed and sewn by Aimee Mann, worn by Meg Morton and Ellie Hill, proper statement dresses that anchored the whole ethereal feel. Everything else came from my own wardrobe collection, because sometimes the best fairy tale wardrobe is the one you've been quietly building for years.
