The Joy of Getting Dressed

A series of self-portraits, shot alone in my own room, tracking an emotional journey through clothing rather than a client brief or a concept board. No creative director, no photographer, just me, a camera, and a lot of honesty.
It started in black. All-black everything, worn like armour, a way of taking up less space when that felt necessary. Then stickers, bold, loud, plastered over outfits like a shield, something to hide behind while still being seen. And eventually, colour. Real, vibrant, unapologetic colour, worn not to protect myself but because I actually wanted to be looked at.
Posing alone isn't easy, there's no one to tell you it's working, no one to catch the moment you didn't know you were making. But that's kind of the point. Every image in this series is a version of me figuring something out in real time, and clothing was the language I used to do it.
This one isn't really about styling technique. It's about what getting dressed can actually mean when nobody's watching, and what happens when you finally start dressing for yourself instead of everyone else.
